If you're experiencing trouble using your Photon to charge your phone, please follow the following instructions:
First make sure the battery has some charge. Start by pressing the POWER button once on the side of the battery to see if some blue lights turn on.
If the battery doesn't turn on, try plugging it into a USB charger using the USB-C input, and check if the battery turns on. If you see little blue lights at some point, the battery works fine.
If despite these steps no lights appear at all, then please contact us.
2. Cable position
Then, make sure the cable is inserted correctly in the USB port. It can happen that the USB port is more centered than it should be. The cable must be placed in the lower part of the receptacle, as shown in the picture below. The cable's metallic data pins should face upwards. Please look at the drawings carefully and replicate this with your Photon.
3. For iPhone users
Next, check that the cable is inserted correctly in your phone. If you have an iPhone, please note that the cable only works one way around. It is nessessary as the other side of the cable charges micro-USB inputs. You may need to turn your phone over for it to charge.
4. Check if it works with a different cable
If you have tried using the Sunslice cable both ways following all the instructions above, please try using a different charging cable. If the phone now charges with your cable, then please notify us.
